How to Think About the Stages of Kidney Disease

Being diagnosed with kidney disease is a shock to the very core of your being and it can be hard to comprehend all that is being said during your doctor’s visit or know what to ask. When someone is diagnosed they are categorized into a stage from 1 through 5. People are often confused and don’t understand what the different stages mean. Lori and Dr. Kam Kalantar-Zadeh, Professor of Medicine and Public Health at UC Irvine School of Medicine, discuss each stage and what you can to help delay the progression of the illness. Listen in to gain knowledge you can use.
