Local Patient Meetings and Support Groups

RSN hosts Patient Lifestyle Meetings (PLM) at no charge to people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and their family members. At these meetings, healthcare professionals and renal patients—on dialysis or with a kidney transplant—speak on life-enhancement and illness-related issues relevant to living a fulfilling life despite renal disease. Patients are treated to a renal-friendly lunch or brunch and raffle prizes will be given away throughout the day.

Support Groups are a great place for people with kidney disease to give and receive both emotional and practical support as well as to exchange information. Patients as well as their friends and families find support groups to be a valuable resource — a place where people can share medical information, get confirmation that their feelings are "normal," educate others, and to hear success stories.
