An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until March 3, 2020

We all have a unique story to tell. RSN proud to offer an opportunity to use your own life experiences to find your voice and help others who are traveling the same life path of living with kidney disease. RSN’s Public Speaking Training will help you gain experience and confidence as you learn how to effectively share your story by delivering compelling speeches.

RSN is offering a six-month membership to Toastmasters of Glendale to people who have kidney disease and are interested in using public speaking as a means to encourage and inspire their peers, community and influence decision makers.

Simply attend one Toastmasters meeting held at RSN’s Studio Hope and observe the process in action. If you decide that inspirational speaking is something you would like to pursue, this opportunity offers:

  • Six-month membership to Toastmasters International
  • Instruction on becoming an effective communicator by learning from other successful speakers
  • Training on what to do to make your speech compelling
  • Public speaking practice in front of a live audience that will provide constructive feedback

Toastmasters of Glendale meets at 6:30 on Tuesday evenings at: Studio Hope,
621 E. Glenoaks Blvd. Unit B Glendale, CA 91207

Stop by for a visit. Attending a meeting as a guest is free and there’s no pressure to participate. While at the meeting, say hello to RSN Founder and President Lori Hartwell, who began honing her talent as a public speaker with Toastmasters of Glendale in 1993.

Since then, Lori has traveled throughout the Unites States and Internationally giving motivational and educational keynotes, presentations and workshops to healthcare professionals, patients and the general public on how to overcome adversity, pursuing your goals, patient engagement and communication, and how to be your own advocate. Her personal speaking style of using humor and personal stories to make a point, leaves audience laughing and leaving with several points of wisdom to apply to their life and work.

Here are a few RSN posts that illustrate how learning to share your story with the skill and finesse of a professional public speaker can help you build your confidence and inspire others. Click the images below to read the stories:
