Spotlight on Innovation

RSN president and founder Lori Hartwell has seen plenty of treatment advances in her 50 years living with kidney disease. She first encountered the pioneering stages of renal replacement therapy at the age of two. Lori was the youngest person to be placed on peritoneal dialysis in the state of California. She received her first kidney transplant in 1979, when transplants were still very much in their infancy. A lot has changed since then and new advancements are on the horizon as researchers continue to search for ways to minimize the damage caused by chronic kidney disease. RSN encourages this creativity and innovation in the healthcare space. We are proud to present these innovative updates in the treatment of kidney disease.
