Lighter Side of Dialysis

By Peter Quaife

When Peter Quaife began drawing dialysis cartoons as a way to pass time at the clinic, he had no idea he would be creating a sensation. But then again, creating sensations is nothing new to Peter Quaife who, some 35 years earlier, had done just that as a member of the British rock group “The Kinks.”  The result of Peter’s efforts was The Lighter Side of Dialysis, an extraordinarily funny and popular cartoon book that was originally released only in Canada, where Peter now resides. Due to the overwhelmingly enthusiastic response, the book is now available for purchase through the Jazz Communications online store. Now patients and professionals everywhere can enjoy Peter’s unique and hilarious take on dialysis.

Mr. Right and My Left Kidney

By Joan Saltzman

This is a humorous, poignant memoir about living kidney donation as seen through the donor's perspective. It tells the story of the author's meeting her perfect match after years of searching, then giving him her left kidney. She tried in vain to find a first-person account book about the spousal transplant experience, so she decided to write one. In addition to being a book about spousal donation, Mr. Right and My Left Kidney also gives hope to anyone who has despaired of finding a life partner. For more information, log onto: www.mrrightandmyleftkidney.com or send an e-mail to: info@mrrightandmyleftkidney.com. The book is available at your local bookstore, or click on this link to order: www.amazon.com.
